Sleep for Littles was founded by certified pediatric sleep consultant and newborn care specialist Kelly LoPresti to provide compassionate, evidence-based sleep support for families with children from birth through 4 years old.
Support is available both virtually and in-home consultations across Long Island. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, Sleep for Littles focuses on responsive, developmentally appropriate strategies that build healthy sleep habits while honoring the parent-child connection. Together, we'll create a plan that feels realistic, supportive, and sustainable—helping your whole family get the rest you deserve.

This is one of the questions I hear most often—and the answer is yes, it is absolutely developmentally appropriate for babies to wake during the first year of life. In fact, many babies continue to wake overnight for feeding, comfort, growth, or developmental reasons.
At Sleep for Littles, the goal isn't to eliminate every night waking or expect babies to sleep through the night before they're ready. Instead, we focus on creating healthy sleep habits that make sleep more predictable and restorative while honoring your baby's developmental needs.

Sleep for Littles is a great fit for families looking for personalized, compassionate support rather than a one-size-fits-all approach. I believe every child is unique, and every family has different goals, routines, and comfort levels. That's why every sleep plan is thoughtfully tailored to your child's developmental stage, temperament, and your parenting style.
Whether you're preparing for your baby's arrival, navigating the newborn months, struggling with frequent night wakings, short naps, bedtime battles, or toddler sleep challenges, we'll work together to create a realistic plan that feels achievable for your family.
If you're looking for a quick fix or a rigid program, I may not be the best fit and that's okay. My approach is rooted in education, responsiveness, and partnership. I'll guide you every step of the way, provide ongoing encouragement, and help you make informed decisions with confidence, so you can create healthy, lasting sleep habits while preserving the connection with your child.

There is no one-size-fits-all approach to healthy sleep, which is why every family I work with receives a personalized plan based on their child's age, development, temperament, and your family's parenting style and comfort level.
At Sleep for Littles, I use my signature "Sleep Shaping™ approach: a responsive, evidence-based method that helps children develop healthy, sustainable sleep habits while preserving the parent-child connection. Rather than following a rigid program, we'll choose the level of support that feels right for your family and adjust it as your child progresses.
Some families prefer a highly hands-on, gradual approach with frequent reassurance, while others are comfortable providing more space for their child to practice new sleep skills. No matter which path you choose, you'll never be expected to ignore your child's needs. Throughout the process, I'll provide education, guidance, and ongoing support so you can feel confident every step of the way.
My goal isn't simply better sleep—it's helping your family create healthy sleep habits that feel sustainable, respectful, and right for everyone involved..

What is your success rate?
I measure success differently than simply counting how many children sleep through the night.
Success means helping families make meaningful, lasting progress toward their sleep goals in a way that feels responsive, realistic, and sustainable. Whether that means improving naps, reducing frequent night wakings, creating smoother bedtimes, or helping your child learn new sleep skills, every family's journey looks a little different.
The families who experience the greatest success are those who remain consistent with their personalized plan and stay connected throughout the process. I'll be there to guide you, answer questions, make adjustments as needed, and celebrate every milestone along the way.
While I can't guarantee a specific outcome or timeline, I can promise that you'll receive individualized support, evidence-based guidance, and a plan designed specifically for your child and your family's goals. Together, we'll create healthy sleep habits that support your child's development and help your whole family get the rest you deserve.
-
Do you offer flexible payment options?
Yes! I believe every family deserves access to compassionate, personalized sleep support. To help make my services more accessible, flexible payment options are available at checkout for select packages.
My goal is to make investing in your family's sleep feel manageable, so you can focus on what matters most -getting the rest and confidence you deserve.

Absolutely not. Night feedings can be a normal and healthy part of infancy, and many babies continue to need them throughout the first year. At Sleep for Littles, I never recommend eliminating a feeding simply because of a child's age or to fit a particular sleep program.
Instead, we'll take a thoughtful look at your child's age, growth, medical history, feeding patterns, and developmental needs to determine what is appropriate for your family. If your baby still needs to eat overnight, we'll build a sleep plan that supports those feedings while also encouraging healthy, sustainable sleep habits.
For older babies who are developmentally ready, some families choose to gradually reduce night feedings, while others prefer to continue them a little longer. There's no one "right" timeline. My role is to provide education, guidance, and a personalized plan that respects both your child's needs and your family's goals.
Healthy sleep and nighttime feeding can absolutely coexist. The goal is to create a plan that feels responsive, realistic, and right for your family.

Yes! I love working with families of twins and multiples.
While caring for more than one baby comes with unique challenges, healthy sleep is absolutely possible. Whether you're navigating different feeding schedules, transitioning out of bassinets or the Snoo, coordinating naps, reducing overnight wakings, or helping your little ones learn new sleep skills, I'll create a personalized plan that works for your family's unique dynamic.
Every set of twins is different, so I take the time to understand each child's temperament, developmental needs, and sleep patterns while helping you establish routines that are realistic and manageable.
My goal is to simplify sleep, not add more stress. Together, we'll create a responsive, sustainable plan that helps everyone in the family get the rest they need.
-
Absolutely! Whether you're currently co-sleeping by choice or because it's the only way anyone is getting sleep, you're welcome here.
At Sleep for Littles, I believe there is no one "right" way for a family to sleep. My role is never to judge your choices, but to help you reach your family's sleep goals in a way that feels safe, responsive, and aligned with your values.
If you love co-sleeping and want to continue, I can help optimize your child's sleep within your current routine. If you're ready to transition your child to their own sleep space, we'll do so gradually using my responsive Sleep Shaping™approach. Every plan is personalized to your child's developmental needs, your comfort level, and your family's goals.
Wherever you're starting, we'll work together to create healthy, sustainable sleep habits while preserving the connection that's most important to you.

Yes! As both a certified pediatric sleep consultant and an elementary special education teacher with over 15 years of experience, I understand that every child learns, develops, and sleeps differently.
I work with many families whose children have diagnoses such as high-functioning autism, ADHD, sensory processing differences, and other developmental or behavioral challenges. These children often have unique sleep needs, which is why I take a highly individualized approach to every plan.
There is never a one-size-fits-all solution. Using my responsive Sleep Shaping™ approach, we'll create a personalized plan that considers your child's strengths, sensory preferences, communication style, developmental needs, and your family's goals. Together, we'll focus on building healthy, sustainable sleep habits in a way that feels supportive, realistic, and respectful of your child's unique needs.
If your child has a complex medical condition or needs beyond my scope of practice, I'll always be honest about that and, when appropriate, help guide you toward additional resources or specialists who can best support your family.
